If there is a problem with the printer or printer driver, the connection to the printer might have been disabled, or some printer settings might have been hidden. You can try the following common solutions to fix the problem.
Run Microsoft Update. For more information, see Update Office and your computer with Microsoft Update.
Note
Make sure Office is up to date. In an Office app, select File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
Go to the printer manufacturer's website and try to update the printer driver.
If you are on a network, contact an administrator.

Troubleshoot printer problems in Windows
- Open Settings.
- Select Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your printer and select More devices and printer settings.
- Right-click the printer and select Troubleshoot.
- Follow the steps in the wizard.
