How to turn off OneDrive Memories

How to turn OneDrive "On this day" mobile notifications on or off

You can show or hide the Memories summary in the mobile app.

  1. Tap on your profile picture.
  2. Tap Settings  Settings then Notifications.
  3. Toggle On this day or I have memories from this day on or off.

Turn OneDrive "Your memories from this day" emails on or off

You can turn email notifications on or off from the website.

  1. Sign in to your OneDrive account at onedrive.live.com

  2. Go to Settings Settings then Photos.

  3. Check or uncheck boxes as required.

  4. Select Save.

Note

If you see pictures you don't recognize in your OneDrive Memories or On This Day, it's because other apps' folders are included in your device's camera roll. Learn how to stop unrecognized pictures from appearing

How to turn off or mute music in a OneDrive memory slideshow

iOS/Android

Here's how to mute the music when your memory slideshow auto-plays in the OneDrive iOS/Android app.

  1. Tap anywhere on the screen to reveal the slideshow controls.
  2. Then tap the speaker icon in the bottom-left corner to mute the music. Slideshow music will remain disabled in the future until you enable it using the same icon.

Here's how to mute the music when your memory slideshow auto-plays on the OneDrive website.

  1. Move your mouse anywhere on the screen to reveal the slideshow controls.
  2. Adjust the volume or click the speaker icon in the bottom-left corner to mute the music. Slideshow music will remain disabled in the future until you enable it using the same icon.
