View and manage mobile notifications on your PC

On your PC, do the following:

  • In the Phone Link, go to Notifications. If you haven't set up this feature yet, you'll be prompted to.
  • After your finish setup and provide permission on your Android device, notifications from your Android device will appear on your PC.

Some notifications will have additional actions available for you, like replying directly to messages or snoozing an alarm. Any notifications that you dismiss on your PC will also be dismissed on your Android device.

If you encounter issues while using notifications, these troubleshooting tips may help.

Select which notifications you want to see

Once you’ve started receiving notifications, you can choose which apps you’d like to see notifications from.

On your PC, do the following:

  1. Open Phone Link  and go to Settings > Features >  Notifications.

  2. Click View apps at Choose how apps show notifications, you'll see a list of all the apps that have sent notifications to your PC via Phone Link. If an app hasn't sent notification yet, then it may not appear here.

  3. For any app in the list, you can choose to see notifications in the notification feed (Phone Link, Start menu, and Notification Center) or Feed and Banner (Windows notification banner) or just disable them.

What can I do with the notifications I receive?

The actions available depend on the type of notification and whether Link to Windows was preinstalled on your Android device or downloaded from an app store.

Call notifications

  • Select Add reminder so you do not forget to return the call.

  • Select Call back to start a call from your linked PC.

  • Select Message to send an inline reply to the person whose call you missed.

Message notifications

  • Write and send an inline reply directly from the notification.

  • Mark the message as read from the notification.

Notifications from other mobile apps and services

  • If Link to Windows was preinstalled on your Android device, clicking at notification opens the app via App remoting feature and interact with it directly from your PC.

  • If Link to Windows was downloaded on your Android device from app store, you can view individual app notifications on your PC. To open the notification, use your Android device.

Actions available for all notifications in Phone Link

  • Select Clear all in Notifications to remove all notifications from Phone Link.

  • For an individual notification, select X to clear it.

  • Select ... for more options. You can Pin the notification or select Mute to choose how long notifications from that app or service are paused.

  • Select Go to settings to open the Phone Link notification settings and choose which notifications appear and how they are shown.

  • Select Turn off notifications from phone to stop notifications from that app or service. You can turn them back on at any time in Phone Link Settings.

Can I expect to see all my notifications?

Aside from notifications that can't be dismissed on your Android device, all notifications will be displayed on your PC.

Dismiss notifications

Dismissing a notification on your PC also dismisses it from your Android device (and vice-versa).

On your PC:

  • Dismiss notifications by pressing the X next to each notification in the list. You can also dismiss all notifications at once by selecting Clear All.
